Bonanza to the Beach

On a beautiful late October day, a trip to the Delaware beach seemed like a wonderful idea. I took the time to photograph our beach house in Cottonpatch Hills as well as the new home of good friends right on the Indian River Inlet. Then, it was lunch at the Sussex County Airport's fine restaurant and back to Leesburg by 1:00 PM.

It was clear from the moment I saw the moon rise that there would be a great picture....this one I snapped just as I taxied into position and held on RW 09.

A Trip To Florida

A perfect weekend for flying! Leesburg to Ft. Lauderdale and back....

Here are some views from the weekend.

The first stop was at Raleigh-Durham (KRDU) for a business meeting with the chairman of our association. Piedmont Hawthorne provides outstanding line service. The General Aviation Terminal is a great place to find a perfect cup of coffee along with breakfast or lunch.

From KRDU, is was on to Ft. Lauderdale where I was to give a speech. The entire flight was flown in CAVU except for the last 15 minutes. KFLL had overcast skys and occassional rain.
